UPDATE — Hollywood, history, and conspiracy theory is the topic of upcoming public lectures that will be offered in New England this spring. Writer Gordon Arnold will discuss how the film industry’s interest in conspiracy theory as a movie theme reflected and shaped American political visions from the Cold War to 9/11 and beyond. Included in the discussion are such films as Invasion of the Body Snatchers,The Manchurian Candidate, JFK, The X-Files and more.
These events are free and open to the public. Come hear and discuss. The schedule is as follows:

Gordon Arnold is the author of Conspiracy Theory in Film, Television, and Politics ( Praeger Publishers, 2008 ) and a professor of liberal arts at Montserrat College of Art in Beverly, Massachusetts.
